Earlier this week a client of ours sent me some examples of fraudulent documents that were submitted as supporting documents with a rental application. In fact this was only one of the two rental applications that day that she identified as having fraudulent documents!
I was blown away by the detail that this client had used to identify these documents as fraudulent – I know I don’t ‘practice’ as such anymore, but I would not have picked all of the errors on the documents she did, so I knew we had to share this information with everyone to alert you to what to look out for out there! It’s scary!
I have invited two other rental professionals that deal with rental applications to also join us and share their experience of fraudulent documents and rental application scams they have come across.
