Melanie graduated cum laude in both her BPROC and LLB degrees at the University of Port Elizabeth in 1999 whereafter she located to London where she worked for a large law firm for 3 years before returning to Cape Town.
Melanie was a conveyancing attorney and Notary Public at a firm in Cape Town from 2003 to 2020 before she spread her wings to launch her own consultancy which specialises in statutory compliance, foreign investment issues and the structuring of complicated business risk analyses and business continuity plans.
Melanie’s consultancy is based in Cape Town although her client base is situated all over South African, Europe and North America.
Melanie presented close to 20 FICA and Data Privacy webinars for Lexis Nexis earlier in 2023 which were attended by approximately 20,000 people and now supports businesses in many industries to become fully FICA, POPIA and PAIA compliant.
Some of Melanie’s most prominent clients include: head offices of some of the biggest motor vehicle dealerships, the biggest suppliers of fruit, fresh produce, mines, real estate head offices, the boating dealers and over 400 law firms and accountancy practices nationwide.
